UKIP Candidate Edward Fila Visits Shottery

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.

Stratford’s Parliamentary Candidate for UKIP, Mr Edward Fila, arrived at school at lunchtime on 2 February, to address students on a variety of issues.  Nearly one hundred girls and staff gathered in the library to hear Mr Fila detail why he is standing for UKIP and why he thought they were worthy of support.

Covering topics such as immigration and renewable energy sources, Mr Fila invited a fair and frank exchange of views, with many girls still wanting to ask questions as the hour drew to a close and Mr Fila had to go on to his next engagement.

We are extremely proud of our strong Politics Department at Shottery, with many of our students taking an avid interest in what is happening nationally as we approach the General Election.  We have managed to get all of the local Parliamentary candidates in to school to address the students this school year, with the last of these, the Labour candidate, coming in just before we break for half-term.
