Young Enterprise:  Shottery Girls Take Home The Best Company Award

Having placed 1st and 2nd at the South Warwickshire Finals, our two Young Enterprise teams went through to represent the area at the Coventry and Warwickshire finals held at the Butts Park Arena in Coventry last night. They went up against strong teams from Kings High, Warwick School, King Henry VIII, Finham Park, Rugby High Girls School and Lawrence Sheriff Boys Grammar, all of whom had won their area heats.

The teams created a trade stand where they were interviewed by the 3 judges as well as producing an extensive company report. They then presented their journey to the judges and audience.  Empire, managed by Jaina Sonecha, was awarded the prize for Best Presentation and Team IV, managed by Ellie Lewis, were awarded the prize for Best Marketing.  Then, at the end of the evening, Team IV were announced as the overall winners, taking home the Best Company award.  This means that Team IV will go on to the West Midlands Finals in Shrewsbury where they will be bidding for a place at the National Finals.

Overall, a fantastic performance by both teams, and winning 3 of the 5 prizes on offer really does pay tribute to the hard work and enterprising flair shown by both teams - well done girls!
