Students' Success at the 51st International Chemistry Olympiad competition, UK Round 1

25 sixth form students at Stratford Girls’ Grammar School have received awards in the 51st International Chemistry Olympiad competition, UK Round 1.  This exam, set by the Royal Society of Chemistry, is designed to stretch the UK’s most able A level chemistry students by testing them with challenging real-world problems which encompass aspects of degree level chemistry. Silver awards were presented to Charlotte, Megan, Hannah, Vanessa, Maryam, Priya, Inaam and Hannah.  Bronze awards were presented to Selin, Amynta, Lola, Isobel, Sarah, Julia, Isobel, Asia, Charlotte, Eva, Grace, Josie, Rose, Caitlin, Emma, Katie and Sophie.  Participation in national science competitions provides opportunities for SGGS students to demonstrate their abilities when applying for places at leading universities.
