Y8/9 Team Maths Challenge Report

On Friday 4th March 2016, Connie, Meera, Astha and Freya went to Myton School to take part in a Team Maths Challenge.

It was a fun, inspiring experience and it was great to try out a competitive atmosphere while working. We enjoyed meeting new people and finding different methods to solve Maths problems. There were four rounds: we started well with the group round and finished the crossnumber with 10 minutes to spare. The shuttle round was really challenging but we worked well as a team.

Finally we did the relay round, which was a race against the clock and it was very hard to not crash into other people. As a day it was a great experience - we especially liked the free biscuits!

We finished in 5th position out of 19 schools, so feel very proud of ourselves!
