We believe that you deserve inspirational teaching, the chance to challenge and be challenged, and the opportunity to be empowered to create and take advantage of a wide range of opportunities. We understand that, For access to the very top universities in the country, it is so important that students have outstanding information, advice and guidance, as well as the opportunity to excel in the most highly prized A-level subjects. We have designed our curriculum in conjunction with universities, and that shows. Significantly more of our students gained AAB or above in the subjects top universities value."

Be part of something special

"I have loved everything about being here, the friendships I have made and the positive learning environment." Anna, Year 13 leaver. An extension of the main school, and yet with its own unique atmosphere and environment in the historic Manor, Shottery Sixth Form really is a special place to learn with like-minded peers and expert teaching. Whether you have been with us since Year 7 or join us in Year 12, as Anna did, you will find a warm welcome and a dazzling array of opportunities.

Be outstanding

Our results speak for themselves. Consistently achieving amongst the highest A-level results in the country, Shottery Sixth Form students stand out. In 2018, nearly 60% of A-level grades were A*to A, with an incredible 80% of our leavers gaining at least AAB in two or more, Russell Group approved, facilitating subjects. This underlines the importance we place on providing students with outstanding advice and guidance, supported by a curriculum designed to facilitate access to the most prestigious universities and higher level apprenticeships.

Be inspired

Whether your ambition is to study Medicine at Cambridge, Astrophysics at Birmingham, French and Russian at Oxford, Maths at St Andrews, Theology at Durham or Architecture at Nottingham, we have a 2018 alumna able to advise. Our fantastic alumnae network allows current students to keep in touch with those who have recently left and learn from their experiences whether at university or in the world of work; whilst our peerless sixth form speaker programme encourages students to connect with an extraordinary range of leaders from the worlds of politics, business, the arts and beyond.

Be challenged

We challenge all our students to be the very best they can be. Our Oxbridge candidates recognise the expert guidance they have received to help them to achieve their goals: “Shottery pushed me to reach my academic potential and win a place at Oxford University;"  "I really appreciate all the help with my Oxford application." Alice, who has chosen to apply following her results commented, "I'm obviously thrilled with my results, and having to look at new options such as Oxbridge which I'd previously never considered, is so exciting!"

Our sixth form is made up of outstanding individuals, and, from curriculum to our dress code, we celebrate that individuality and look forward to you becoming part of our incredible sixth form.
