Our Speaker Programme

In addition to career development events and trips to universities, SGGS Sixth Form regularly invites external speakers and alumnae to share their insight and experiences with students.  These assemblies and talks can take place in either physical or virtual environments.

In Sixth Form, our speaker programme is heavily targeted towards career outcomes and providing answers to burning questions about university life, student finance tips and enterprising success stories. We do not underestimate the positive impact that reassuring conversations can have on the confidence, well-being and performance of our students.

Alumnae visits are particularly engaging for students as they provide evidence of all that can be achieved through working hard at SGGS. Our genuine interest in shaping the futures of our students sees the majority of them stay in touch with us after they graduate, with many keen to visit and inspire the next generation.

We have fantastic links with a diverse range of local employers and global brands who regularly provide talks and attend SGGS events, raising awareness of entry-level programmes and openly discussing what they look for in future applicants. Rolls Royce, Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin, Barclays, Gowling WLG, Oxford Space Systems, Blue Zoo Animation, Warwickshire County Council, Royal Air Force (RAF), the Army and many more companies have sent representatives to SGGS in recent times.

Below are just some of the speakers we have hosted at SGGS in recent years.
