Year 9 LAMDA Examinations Done and Dusted

Excited chatter could be heard in the Manor on Tuesday 28th November as twenty nine Year 9 students eagerly prepared for their LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) Level 2 Award Examinations. Under the expert eye of English teacher Mrs Rachel Hardiman the girls waited in a state of confident anticipation for their allotted 'performance' time in front of  visiting LAMDA examiner Mr Ed Brierley.

Each group of four girls discussed a challenging current affairs topic demonstrating their ability to listen actively and to speak spontaneously using a wide range of exploratory techniques.

A delighted Mrs Hardiman praised the conduct of  SGGS girls who relished the opportunity to show off their discursive talents. Visting LAMDA examiner Mr Brierley complimented the cohort and specifically added how well prepared they were.

A few nervous weeks will follow until the results are published. Until then, I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more from these girls who clearly have a good deal to say for themselves!

Well done to all involved.
